This chapter consist 2 parts which is data collection and data analysis. Data analysis is use for analysis the statistical from questionnaire using Microsoft excel and data collection is to collect primary resources data using questionnaire to separate to respondents to answer it.
3.1 Description of participants.
The population samples selected is among Umps’ Second Year of Manufacturing Engineering students. This group of students consists of 26 females and 36 males. The total of participants is 62 peoples. These group of student had been chosen specifically because we would like to know how dependant they are on wireless technologies in their daily life.
3.2 Data Collection Instruments
We have decided to use questionnaire as a way to collect data. The purpose of this questionnaire is to explore the usage of wireless technologies among second year manufacturing engineering students of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP). This group of students consists of 62 respondents. The questionnaire contain of 5 parts which is part A, part B, part C, part D, and part E. We have use 2 types of survey question which is open ended questions (free response and fill in relevant info) and closed ended questions (dichotomous, multiple choice, rank, and scale). We use non-random selected because we only will conduct this questionnaire to second year manufacturing engineering students of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) only.
3.3 Data analysis
To analyze our data in this research, we will use the Excel spreadsheet. We choose to analyze it by using Exel spreadsheet because the numbers of respondents are 62 which is more than 50. This program will ease us to analyze the data since we have a big number of respondents.
